At the end of the night, Lance was sunning off to a off trail race in Leadville, CO. His parting words to the crowd were “People will watch this film and exclaim, 'Oh my God!' We can’t just let it go up on Surfline and say. ‘Ok, here’s 16 minutes, check it out. This is only the beginning of an important conversation that we have to keep going!”.
Unlike any other documentary short film about aquaculture, this one takes you on a journey through the eyes of an environmentally conscious 10-time Paddleboard World Champion and Professional Big Wave Surfer, Jamie Mitchell. By capturing this unique relationship on camera, we can bring this real journey to Verlasso’s communities. A convincing story that gives sense of place, sense of time, and sense of care at every level. A true sense of well-being, convincingly portrayed through the eyes of the surfer.

In celebration of National Seafood Month, Verlasso is beyond excited to announce its collaboration with Barton Seaver for 2018. For those of you who don’t know, Barton is an acclaimed chef as well as one of the most important thought leaders and change makers in the sustainable aquaculture space.
We are super stoked to be at EPCOT Food and Wine in the ‘Active Eats’ Marketplace this year, celebrating their 35th Anniversary! Cinco de Mayo has taken on a significance beyond that in Mexico. Here in the states the date has become a celebration of Mexican-American culture. Celebrate this occasion with a scrumptious spread of food from south of the border, including favorite Mexican recipes made with Verlasso salmon such as quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas and of course margaritas!
